In 2000, Darren was awarded “Emerging Entrepreneur of the Year” and named to the Pacific Business News first “Top Forty under 40” list. In 2002, he was awarded “Young Entrepreneur of the Year for Hawaii”, California, Nevada and Arizona. He has been awarded numerous additional industry distinctions, has written 5 papers in energy, has been a speaker at a number of conferences throughout the US and for the Department of Energy, Guam Energy, Palau Energy, and Saipan Energy offices.
